Writing prompts that make good stickers
- One subject, one action. “A fox reading a book” works better than a whole scene; stickers are read at a glance.
- Add a detail that makes it yours: a colour (“mint green”), an accessory (“wearing a scarf”) or a mood (“grumpy”).
- Leave text out. Add words afterwards in the editor, where the spelling is guaranteed.
- Thick shapes cut best. The cartoon and retro styles give bold outlines that survive the die-cut border; watercolour is softer.
Questions people ask
How does the AI sticker generator work?
Your description goes to an image model (Recraft v4.1 Flash, via Vercel AI Gateway) that draws a single subject on a plain white background. Your browser then removes the white background and adds a die-cut border, so the result is ready to print as a sticker.
Is it free?
Yes. Each image costs us a fraction of a cent, so there is a limit of 5 generations per hour per visitor to keep it free for everyone.
Can I use the generated stickers commercially?
You can use them in your own projects and products. Do not describe trademarked characters, logos or real people. Those remain someone else’s rights even when an AI draws them.
Is my prompt stored?
We do not store prompts or images. The prompt is sent to the AI provider to create the image and the result comes straight back to your browser.
Why does the AI not put text in the sticker?
Image models still misspell words. Generate the artwork without text, then open it in the editor and add perfectly set lettering yourself.
