Kiss cut vs die cut stickers
Both stickers can have exactly the same shape. The difference is how deep the blade goes, and that changes how the sticker is handed out, peeled and packed.

Which one should you choose?
- Handing stickers out at an event or in orders? Die cut. They feel like a finished object and look better in photos.
- Several small designs together? Kiss cut on a sheet. You cannot die cut tiny stars and moons without losing them.
- Thin or spiky shapes? Kiss cut. The backing protects delicate points from bending in the post.
- Selling in retail? Kiss cut on a rectangular backing that carries your brand, barcode and price.
Design tips for either cut
Give the design a white border about 1/8 inch (3 mm) wide. In the die cut sticker maker that is the white border slider, and “Show cut line” previews the exact path the blade will follow. Avoid gaps narrower than about 1.5 mm between parts of the outline; the blade cannot turn that sharply, and the gap fills in.
