What a mockup tells you that the design file doesn’t
On screen your sticker fills the window; on a laptop it is a 3 inch object seen from half a metre away. Mockups catch the two most common problems before printing: text too small to read at real size (anything under about 8 pt usually disappears) and colours that vanish against the surface. A dark sticker on a space-grey laptop needs a white die-cut border to stand out.
For bottles, keep the sticker under about 3 inches wide: the shading in the bottle scene shows how much of a wider design curves out of view.
